Welcome to you and your four legged friend!
We welcome dogs at Barford Top and ask that you abide by a few rules to ensure everyone has a good time!
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times!
Any accidents must be cleaned up.
There is a large dog walking area on the site.
Go past The Barn and keep going past Poppy one of our shepherds hut.
The dog walk is in front of you, you will see the sign.
Other areas to walk are the bridleway 100 yards down the road to the left out of our gate.
To the right out of our gate in approx. 100 yards up the road –
on the left you will see a large gap in the hedge –the farmer has a crop in the centre
and leaves a wild strip
so people can walk or ride along it.
There are a number of dog friendly pubs in the area within walking distance
The Queens Head in Saddington has a large garden at the back and is very dog friendly. It is one mile from the site, you can get there by walking along the road or through the fields. Going out of our gate and turning left you walk for one mile (down hill and up hill) on the road. Or just passed our neighbours you will see a big yellow stick (denoting a public footpath) which takes you down towards the bottom of the valley it then turns right and if you follow the path to Saddington, it comes out opposite
the church, very close to the pub.
If you go down the hill and turn right at the bottom on to the gated road to Gumley you will walk by the reservoir,(very pretty) and up a little hill then (straight across the crossroads) to
Gumley village, the Bell is on the main street (dog friendly) and if you carry on it will take you to Foxton Locks (dog friendly)
in about another 2 miles.
