About Barford Top Campsite

Barford Top Campsite is surrounded with unspoilt countryside which is criss-crossed by various trails and bridleways, just right for meandering with the dog or taking a stroll, there is even a public footpath yards from the site which follows a little stream and comes out opposite the Church which just happens to be next to the "Queens Head" a dog friendly pub with a large garden that serves scrumptious food.

The delightful country roads are perfect for cycling - "Foxton Locks" (one of Leicestershire's best attractions) is only 3-4 miles away accessed by a tiny road which skirts the picturesque Saddington Reservoir.  Along the way you can stop by "The Bell" in Gumley for a cup of tea, a drink or a bite to eat.

We have beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and on a clear night you can see millions of stars.

On site you will see "Bess" our vintage tractor, she still does all the work around the farm!

We have a number of four legged residents at Barford Top,  2 horses Gem and Rio.

Our black labrador Marley and Boudica is our rescue cat.

We also have an array of  wildlife including swallows, buzzards, yellow hammers, kestrels, hares, badgers and foxes.

Our facilities are housed in a converted barn and include Ladies with shower and radiator, 2 toilets and 2 handbasins.

The Man Cave has a shower with radiator, a toilet, 2 handbasins, and a urinal.

There is also a Disabled Toilet.

In the main area there are 2 washing up sinks with plenty of hot water,  a communal area with soft comfy seating, an array of tables and chairs where you can eat  and books and leaflets for your use.

To the rear we have a separate shower room for men or women with shower, toilet, handbasin and a large radiator.
